Thank you for joining us for our 20th birthday!

Well, that was emotional!

A huge thank you to all our incredible crew, artists and most importantly, to you the audience for, frankly, what was the most spectacular Nozstock yet. We were left speechless by the beautiful people being lovely, the stellar talent, purely inspired decor across the site, hilarious encounters, dreamy visuals, sonic wonder, and all round vibe of delight. It was proper magic, so thank you everyone, for being a part of it and making it a sell-out year!

We’re still absorbing the events of the weekend, re-calibrating and already hatching plans for 2019. Dates have been set for Thursday 18 – Sunday 21 July 2019, and super early birds are already on sale so snap ’em up quick before they run out.

Spend 10 mins filling in our survey and you could win a tasty £150 to keep your festival season afloat. Nozstock is yours so tell us what we did right and what we could do better. And watch this space and our socials – YouTube, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter – for reviews, photos and the all important first line up announcement for 2019.

We might be saying goodbye to our year of Nozstalgia, and it’s a bittersweet departure, after such a year of beastly-good entertainment, but rest assured, we’re full of beans for 2019… a year goes by quick, and we’ll see you again in a field real soon…

Nos da, Nozstockers!

Nozstock 2017: You smashed it

Did Louise find her windmill? Did Greg find his shoe? And what happened to the theatre tent’s chicken on the rampage? All this and more was answered at the most amazing, surreal and special Nozstock we’ve had yet.

Friday nights watery deluge dampened no spirits here. You guys came ready to smash it out of the park. You were friendly, you were fun and Nozzers, we loved it. Thank you so much for all the love you send our way year on year. It’s you that make it all worth it.

As ever, credit where credit is due to the acts who kept you on your feet and/or on the edge of your seat, as well as to the traders who kept the Nozstock army marching, fed and sharply attired, to the media bods who captured the magic and to the hordes of volunteers who descended on the farm to keep it clean, safe and sparkly for you all to do your thang in. We are so greatful to everyone involved and part of the Noz family.

We will be posting videos, reviews and a reminder of all the best bits very soon, we just need a bit of time to catch some Zzzs and wash the festival filth from our brows. You can already check out some of the photo highlights here.

Don’t worry folks, we’ll see you all again for 2018 – celebrating 20 years of Nozstock!

Name our Nozstock beer and get a day out at Wye Valley Brewery!

Higgins' drinking beer at Nozstock - Emily Priestley

Who doesn’t love beer? And who doesn’t love feeling all-powerful?

Exactly. So, we bring you this year’s best creative collaboration. We’ve teamed up with master brewers, makers of the delightful Butty Bach and Hereford Pale Ale, Wye Valley Brewery (insert misty soft-focus image of a pint … and smiley beer garden faces, here). They’ve been our favourite brewers with the tastiest real ales for as long as we can remember, and many’s the time a weary Nozstocker has downed his tools and popped to the Rosie for a quick bevvie to muse on the day’s achievements.

Wye Valley Brewery are offering one lucky Nozstock fan the chance to NAME OUR NOZSTOCK BEER FOR 2017. This finest of brews will be distributed throughout the ‘Shire in the lead up to the festival. As you’re clearly the most creative pun-wizards a festival could ask for, we thought we’d lay down the gauntlet on naming rights to you lot, so don’t let us down!

Should you be selected as All-powerful Namer of Beers, you will receive entry for you and a friend to come and see the beer being brewed (13th June), plus you’ll get a complimentary pub lunch and a Wye Valley goody bag!

Get your sterling entries down in response to this post and we’ll select a winner at random on Sunday 28 May.

There’s a few rules, of course.

– You must be in receipt of a Nozstock ticket and will be asked to provide proof of purchase if you are selected as a winner.
– You must be aged 18 or over.
– You must be available to attend the brewing day on 13 June.
– You agree to be filmed and photographed as part of Nozstock promotions on the brewing day. This will be used to promote the festival through Nozstock’s website and social channels.

And this competition is subject to our standard competition terms & conditions here.

Groove to reggae by day at Elephant’s Grave

Chapman’s Circus may be long gone but the weird and wonderful vibes remain…

By day, you’ll be grooving to dub and reggae with the likes of Ital Sounds, who will be bringing everything from classic roots to modern scrub-a-dub sounds like Mungos Hi Fi and Steppas’ music.

Drumlove perform as a full drumming troupe, a sight and sound to behold. Go With The Flo, Juggla and DJ Shogun, bring a collective 46 years worth of reggae experience to the decks, so expect some winding grooves and plenty of dubby flavour. On Friday night DJ Feva is bringing his unique combination of hip-hop skills and reggae knowledge to drop bass heavy beats and live mash ups that shake up dance floors from Birmingham to Brazil. And expect something a little tropical from MadMax.

Ital Sounds will be joined over the weekend by Bristol-based Boom Sound, bringing underground reggae in the form of Fat Stash, who have championed artists such as Gardna and Uncle Dugs, are also joining the party to pump out some serious reggae, dancehall and dubwise tunes. They’ll be representing alongside KreedHold Tight Collective, and many more.

Honourable citizens of Noz – we thank you for your presence!

Charlie Rimmer - crowd at Garden Stage

Friends, Romans, countrymen … time to kick off your gladiator sandals, hang up your togas, put your sword and shield in storage for the winter and have yourself a nice sit down. Pop the kettle on. Bribe your mates to fan you with leaves and feed you grapes. You deserve it. Because, Nozzers, you smashed it out of the blimmin’ park this year.

From the littl’uns wowing us all with their arty crafty creations in the Kids Area to the dedicated partytroopers keeping the neighbouring cows awake til the wee small hours, each and every one of you brought a certain je ne sais quoi to proceedings. Repeat offenders and brand-spanking-newbies all coming together as thousands of threads in the beautiful tapestry of Nozstock, if you will.

All of us here at NozHQ thought this year’s crowd was the most chilled, friendly and fun-hungry we’ve had in yonks – not to mention the Sun Dance shapes you were all pulling helped keep the rain at bay for the weekend. We make you earn your keep down here on the farm …

As ever, credit where credit is due to the acts who kept you on your feet and/or on the edge of your seat, as well as to the traders who kept the Nozstock army marching, fed and sharply attired, and to the hordes of volunteers who descended on the farm to keep it clean, safe and sparkly for you all to do your thang in.

If you’re looking to give us a little token of your appreciation for the weekend you’ve just had – or if your Nozstock wasn’t quite up to standard and you want to let us know – please have a click on our Nozstock 2016 feedback form. There’s £100 of Amazon vouchers up for grabs for one lucky entrant to sweeten the deal.

Keep an eye on our Facebook and Twitter over the coming weeks for photographic evidence of your time on the farm – to keep you going through those lonely winter nights when Nozstock 2016 begins to seem like a distant dream. Don’t worry folks, we’ll be back before you know it – see you in 2017…

To the theatre!

7696500950_e72f9a9c02_z

The ancient Greeks were a society pretty into their entertainment. So, we think they’d be pretty chuffed with the simply outrageous line-up of theatrical wonders to behold at the Hidden Valley this year.

The Bantam of the Opera will be host to the weird and the wonderful, the joyous and the jaw-dropping. There is a whole kaleidoscope of entertainment; from the hip-crobatics of Nula Hula, to the vagabond talents of the Threadbare Jugglers. You can experience dialectal debauchery from Monkey Poet, Irrational Behaviour’s recycled travelling machine, psychedelic audio/visual spectacles from Hummadruz and crazy contortion from acro-balancer Matt Horton. Missing your Saturday night bingo? Don’t panic! Backyard Bingo awaits; to fulfil all your bingo-ing needs and more. With belly-dancing, balloon modelling, poetry and even Professor Pumpernickel’s laboratory of lunacy, there is more to see than you could pull out of a magician’s top hat (please note: rabbits are not permitted at Nozstock).

The thrilling theatrics of Noz are not confined to the Bantam of the Opera though my friends, oh no! All the farm’s a stage and you are the beloved audience. There will be walkabout wonders a’plenty for your entertainment, participation and interaction if you should so fancy.

And…scene.
