REGINALD D. HUNTER
Reginald D Hunter has been in the UK for over two decades and in that time he has become one of the UK Comedy industry’s best-known performers for his distinctive take on subjects including race and sexuality. His work can be brutally honest and is often considered to be controversial but it is always meticulously thought out and he has never been afraid to face challenging issues head on even when the focus is on his own principles or beliefs. His appearances on television have included Have I Got News For You, 8 Out Of 10 Cats Does Countdown and the hugely popular three-part BBC2 series Reginald D Hunter’s Songs Of The South which documented Reginald’s epic road trip from North Carolina to New Orleans through 150 years of American popular song.
PHIL KAY
Armed only with his broken guitar, his wit and an empty crisp packet, funnyman Phil Kay roams the open roads spinning yarns, singing songs, spouting gentle obscenities and generally making merry. He’s been hanging around causing mischief on the comedy circuit for almost thirty years, described by Fest Magazine as “tender, poignant and fitfully hilarious” and this summer he’s welcoming us all back onboard Planet Anecdote to be beguiled, bewildered and thoroughly tickled. Leave your common sense at the door and pull up a stool around the warm crackling fire that is Phil’s masterful combo of song, story and semi-derangement. After all, it wouldn’t be Nozstock without Phil…
TONY LAW
The best thing to come out of Canada since chips, cheese and gravy, let Tony Law be your comedy tour-guide as he rounds off the Laughing Stock Sunday night at this year’s Nozstock. Take in time-travelling dogs, stop for pictures at his experiences of mania and sobriety, exit through the gift shop of the absurdities of everyday life: you name it, he can make you laugh about it.

Remember kids: he’s not in character – he genuinely is that strange…

You may recognise her from 8 Out Of 10 Cats, her sold-out Edinburgh Fringe shows or just from your wildest dreams: mixing music, social satire and characters into her sets, Jayde describes herself as a “comedian, dancer, opera singer, piano player, MC, beatboxer, photographer and octuple threat”.
PAUL SWEENEY
Lauded by fellow comedian Paul Foot as a ‘surreal tea caddy’, Paul Sweeney‘s musical musings, inimitable moustache and wit drier than a cream cracker sandwich at a picnic in the Sahara will have the Laughing Stock tent feel like a stick-up at a joke shop. Give him all your laughs and nobody gets hurt!

JOE JACOBS
He’s a rapper, he’s a comedian, he’s a… rapmedian? Comapper? The Wee Review called him a ‘Jewish Mike Skinner’; people on buses call him a weirdo. Flitting effortlessly between jokes, hip-hop and self-deprecation, Joe Jacobs has shared stages with acts as diverse as Stewart Lee and Mr Motivator, landing somewhere firmly between the two, and will be joining the Nozstock Comedy Hall of Fame this year.
PAT CAHILL
Roll up, roll up, ladies and gents. Fast becoming a farm favourite, fellow weirdo Pat Cahill filled the comedy tent at Nozstock 2017 and he’s back to offer you a selection of under-the-counter jokes from inside the lining of his jacket. Themes include dead dogs, school hymns and why he hates stand up comedy. No refunds, no exchanges, no funnybone left untweaked.
JOE DAVIES
Joe Davies’ set is a mix of weird, silly, surreal and downright comical. His most recent show Who’s The Daddy focuses on Joe’s discovery that he is actually the son of Perrier-nominated country singer Hank Wangford. The show was an instant success at this year’s Edinburgh Fringe Festival and cemented Joe’s reputation as a ‘glorious loon’ (John Kearns)
