While we celebrate 20 years of Nozstock and look back over our best bits, remembering the memories we have created, the friends we have made and all the cider we have drunk, we can’t forget how important it is to give something back to the local community. 2018, is as always, going to be a year of giving back, making a positive impact where we can and shouting about the wonderful causes going on around us. So have a read below on how us and you can support our chosen causes…
The Music Pool, local to us in Herefordshire, will be bringing some of their finest talent down to play at #20YearsOfNoz. Founded in 1988 The Music Pool supports all ages and abilities to make a noise and express themselves creatively – participation for everyone is something we firmly believe in here at Noz!
Every year Oxfam kindly provide us with some of our stewards for the festival who help create a safe and secure environment for all of you Nozstockers. In return for this Oxfam are able to provide vital aids and resources to those in need. This could be sending children to school in Ethiopia, buying 32 cows or providing water to a Syrian village. Pretty amazing, huh? You can sign up to be an Oxfam steward at Nozstock and many other festivals here.
If the hustle and bustle of farm life gets too much for you then pop along to the Yeleni Support Centre. Based on site they’ll be offering massages, hypnotherapy and various workshops to help your physical and emotional health. £10 of the money you pay for your treatment goes towards Yeleni’s charity work. Any one with green fingers can pop along to see Trees for Cities, a charity established in 1993 and has planted a whopping 600,000 in cities around the world. These trees were planted in parks, schools, housing estates and streets to revitalise these areas, improving the lives of local people who live there.
