Best known for his funnyman turns in the likes of Black Books and Spaced, as well as countless tours, TV specials, Fringe shows and a six-year stint as team captain on Never Mind The Buzzcocks, you may ask yourself – what other tricks does Bill Bailey have up his sleeve? A classically trained musician, Bill was born with the rare gift of perfect pitch – and it’s a gift he’s going to be bringing to you lucky Nozstockers this year.
Having performed live music since the 1980s, he’s yet to meet an instrument he can’t play, from the kazoo to the bassoon to his trusty theremin. His live performances incorporate influences as disparate as jazz, prog rock, heavy metal, and theme songs from kids’ TV shows, combined with the ramblings and musings of a man five decades deep into a love affair with music.
Half man, half troll, half rock star, ladies and gentlemen, we present… Bill Bailey!
