The Deep Blue
In the depths of Manchester live four women: Georgia, Niamh, Katie and Sophie. Carving lives from red brick and late nights; learning to swim in all that rain. They are The Deep Blue, and they are making music. Songs of the indie folk persuasion, rich in three-part vocal harmony over a bed of Fleetwood Mac-esque grooves. The Deep Blue burst onto the scene in 2021 with the release of debut EP Taking On Water. Between the three lead-up singles, ‘Jealous Sea’, ‘He Said She Said’ and ‘Inside My Head’, the band had key tastemakers clambering to get the inside scoop on Manchester’s hottest new artist, with support coming thick and fast from the likes of Dork, The Line of Best Fit, BBC Introducing, BBC 6Music, Amazing Radio, Atwood Magazine, CLOUT and many more. It is on the stage where The Deep Blue really excel, with the band’s heavenly three-part harmonies forever leaving audiences in complete awe. The band were selected by the pitch-perfect ears of both Flyte and Sophie Hunger to support them on their respective tour dates, and they sold out their debut headline show at Manchester’s Castle Hotel within a day. The Deep Blue are a band on the cusp of capturing the imaginations of the UK music scene and beyond. There’s a reason why they’re the band on the lips of key tastemakers everywhere
