I can’t recommend this festival enough; fun for the family, during the day; a very adult affair at night; this place has something for everybody. A genuinely enjoyable weekend for all!”- Urban Vox
“The lack of commercialisation is the very charm of the festival, along with its emphasis on local talent and green initiatives.”- Summer Festival Guide
“I had one of the best weekends of my life. Honestly I’ve been to so many festivals and Nozstock is still my favourite by some margin.” – Richard Lonbay, Tune Love
2012’s Myths and Legends themed Nozstock: The Hidden Valley Festival turned out to be just that: mythical and legendary. The farm came to life once again with something to feast your eyes on in every direction. From a giant hand-made trojan horse to roaming minotaurs and a squid engulfed main stage, the theme was carried out throughout the whole site creating one big wonderland.
Heads were bopping and feet were hopping all weekend with unforgettable performances from The Proclaimers, Dreadzone, Jake Bugg, The Futureheads and The Correspondents to name but a few! By night the ground was shaking with infectious drum and bass from the likes of Andy C and Camo & Krooked. There really was something for everyone to discover all day and all night.
But the magic didn’t stop with the music; there was hula hooping, story telling, mesmerising puppet shows and stilt walkers at The Enchanted Glade. The cinetent hosted original independent films from animation to real life documentaries and short stories. When it was time to relax there was a huge bonfire to sit around with impromptu acoustic jams and sing-a-longs. What’s more the sun shone for us all weekend. Take that wettest summer ever recorded!
