The countdown is on … and things are heating up!
Hello from the other side of the hottest June on record! We hope you all got through the recent heatwave without dissolving into a puddle of sweat and suntan – we know that the Farm’s resident crew, cows and dogs had to schedule in a few extra ice lolly breaks and find some shady trees to flop down under on the hottest days.
The scorching heat had us reminiscing on summers past: watching the sun rise over the festival gates; dancing in front of the Orchard Stage in the midday heat; discovering our new favourite band down on the Dingly Dell. Well, no need to get too nostalgic – in just two weeks’ time, Into The Valley returns, with the chance to make even more memories in our little corner of the world. We’ll be casting our minds even further back to the roaring 1920s, where they survived summers without air conditioning or paddling pools, and with swimming costumes that went all the way down to their knees – but don’t worry, we’ll forgive a little anachronism in your outfits if it’s sweltering in mid-July.
Still on the fence about coming? Put it this way: if the heatwave returns, where would you rather be. Trapped on a sweaty bus crawling through a traffic jam? Desperately trying to stay cool by loitering in the freezer aisle at Aldi? Getting gently sunburnt with a warm pint in your local beer garden? Or supping a fresh cider at the Orchard Bar, taking in the Herefordshire breeze in your camping chair and dancing until the wee hours when it’s cooled down? You don’t have long to make up your mind – with only a handful of tickets and a nearly-single-digit number of days left until the Valley is back open for business, the clock is ticking – and the Time Resonator waits for no man…
